We are inviting all environmental volunteer groups who are supported by Green Adelaide to join us for a day of learning, meeting new people, catching up with friends, and plenty of fun!
Enjoy delicious food, networking with other volunteers, sharing stories, and hearing presentations to recognise the incredible contribution you as volunteers make to our natural and cultural environment and local communities.
Come and enjoy a range of short workshops:
- Basket Weaving – Southern Cultural Immersion
- ‘Grow It Local’ – with Green Adelaide Education Coordinator Natalya (Nat) Giffney
- Focus group ‘How to better support volunteer groups and contribute to the GA Volunteer Strategy – Have your say’ – with Community Partnerships Team Leader Robyn Molsher
- Walking site tour – with The Gums Landcare Group members Geoff Fisher & Gerry Butler
We’ll also be showcasing our recent Landcare Award Winners and Finalists; and delighted to offer a special presentation on ‘Volunteering, Disability and Inclusion’ with Yvette (Yvie) Eglinton, Parks Access for All Coordinator. Yvie will share her personal story and the importance of engaging people with disabilities in volunteering and connecting with nature.
Registrations are essential. Arrival from 9.15am.
Parking is limited onsite, so please share a ride or alternatively we will have a drop off point.
Some activities will be hosted outside, so please remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, water bottle and wear appropriate clothing for the weather on the day
Looking forward to seeing you there!
